Overview
Armored thermocouples have many advantages such as flexibility, high pressure resistance, fast thermal response time, and ruggedness. They are the same as industrial assembled thermocouples. As a transmitter for measuring temperature, they are usually used as display instruments, recording instruments and electronic adjustment It can be used together as a temperature sensing element for assembled thermocouples. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam and gas medium and solid surface in the range of 0 ~ 800 ℃ in the production process of famous species.
principle
The working principle of armored thermocouples is that two ends of conductors of two different components are welded to form a loop. The direct temperature measurement end is called the working end, and the terminal end is called the cold end, also called the reference end. When there is a temperature difference between the working end and the reference end, a thermal current will be generated in the circuit. When the display instrument is connected, the instrument will indicate the corresponding temperature value of the thermoelectromotive force generated by the thermocouple.
The thermoelectromotive force of the armored thermocouple will increase as the temperature of the measurement terminal increases. The size of the thermoelectromotive force is only related to the material of the thermocouple conductor and the temperature difference between the two ends, and has nothing to do with the length and diameter of the thermoelectrode.
The structural principle of the armored thermocouple is that it is made of a conductor, a high-insulation magnesium oxide, and a 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel protective tube, which is drawn integrally multiple times. Armored thermocouple products are mainly composed of junction boxes, terminals and armored thermocouples, and are equipped with various mounting fixtures.
There are two types of armored thermocouples: insulated and shell-type.

When there is a step change in temperature, the time taken for the thermocouple output to change to 50% of the step change is called the thermal response time, which is expressed by τ0.5.
Insulation resistance When the ambient air temperature is 20 ± 1.5 ℃ and the relative humidity is not more than 80%, the insulation resistance value between the insulated wire of the insulated armored thermocouple and the outer tube should meet the requirements of the following table.


Flexibility
The radius of flexibility of the armored thermocouple is not less than 5 times its outer diameter.

2. The outer diameter of the armored thermocouple d≤ ¢ 5mm, and there are splash-proof or waterproof junction box products.
